No I didn't have this problem in the beta

We know not all models are affected, 920 and 925 are fine for instance.
What phone do you have?

You just saying you don't have that issue implies the beta fixed it so to be fair that's not helping. We need someone in the beta that uses a 720, 1020, 1520, 8X as these are affected for sure.

Is it me, or is whatsapp keeping wifi enabled when locking the screen? In Dutch forums a lot of people are reporting this issue.

I think with wp8.1 the wifi is always active not like wp8.0 where you can choose what you want... But I'm nit sure maybe anyone correct this if it is false

Why will anyone want wifi to be off when phone is locked? Its better it stays on so that you wont miss any message. Or for checking any new message you'll have to unlock your phone again and again.

A fix no!!!
But there is a work around..
Change the camera aspect ratio to 4:3

Works alright for me on a 920

So far the 920 and 925 seem to be the only phones not affected.

Whatsapp tends to introduce more bugs per release.... Even with basic things like taking photos and sharing. Hope to see the fix soon... This is frustrating...
