signed up as a couple of co-workers use the app on their androids/iPhones. They find the persistent group chat useful. I still find talking in person or texting just as useful:)

So a lot of people want what few spots they have for the beta. Patience my friends, it will be here soon enough, and yes I'm on the waiting list. But I do have a BB Q10 that I do regularly bbm with right next to my Samsung Ativ S Neo.

I registered a few hours after it was posted and got accepted. WP apps have a max of 10,000 users for beta apps. I wonder if the beta is now into a waiting list because there were more than 10,000 people sign up or if BB has a different limit they set.

Blackberry controls the beta. By way of your email address, so even if you got the app and wasn't worried, it would be useless because you wouldn't get past the sign in Window.

Exactly. The have to specify your email address with Microsoft in order for you to have permission to install the app and probably have a beta test users group that they have to place your BBID (BlackBerry account) into for you to be able to sign into BBM once it installs.

Be patient, it is coming. I have it on my bb Q10 and once it gets on windows phone, all I need to do is sign in and it will handle the transfer to the new device. In such people who already have me as a contact will notice I have a different pin. Pins are device related, not account. Switch device, your pin changes.

BlackBerry should have also give a option to transfer our bbos5 contacts on this :(
Btw bro pins are account related not device related.

i miss my bbm sigh ill download blue stacks on my pc to use bbm or go back to Android for a bit as i use it heavily. honestly they should have opened the beta closer to having a build they would like us to test. makes no sense to have ppl waiting endlessly only reason he posted that is because i asked him to shred light on when a build would be released and i was annoyed by new betazone members commenting when is it coming my email was filled with questions in languages i don't know and people begging to be added to the beta.
but i guess they will have it out soon.

they want to release in July but the beta is not out so i would like to know when they want to release the final v 1.0 maybe July 31st ???

pins are device related not account related, only one pin can be tied to an account at a time but you can switch bbm across devices using the account but the pin remains unique to the install(yes even a reinstall can force a new pin on ios, android ,wp versions)
you can use the bbos5 BB account to restore bbm data to any form of BBM(bbos,BB,ios, android and even WP)

No pins remain the same it is account related i have tried that installed bbm on android emulator on PC and registered with my email id and signin with that same email id on my sis cell and the pin remained the same.

because there is not build of bbm that's ready for beta testers to download as yet.
when a build is ready they will email us. yes there is an update for private testing but not us as yet maybe when the build number changes then we may get it i guess we have to wait.

^This, people we have to wait until it is ready.. apps don't just automagically create themselves.

Would be cool if they did. Imagine that. An app to automatically generate apps. But on topic I agree, I just wish ETAs were a bit more forthcoming from these companies in this day and age...
