MS Authenticator: Facebook setup problem

I have used MS Authenticator to generate codes to login to FB and it worked just fine. Yet I have to re-install the app and now FB just rejects it when I try to add "third party app". It keeps saying Try again when I enter generated code after scanning QR on FB...

To confirm the third party app is set up correctly, enter the security code that appears on your phone.

I had the same problem and this is what I did. Although I'm not sure this is how to set the Authenticator app up with Facebook. But I believe it is correct. I have it seamlessly working now on my 620 running 8.1 Developer Preview with Black software.
Go to Facebook Settings on your Desktop> Security; and check whether the Code Generator option is turned on. Turn the code generator on before you set up the Authenticator app.
