Bought Minecraft, have no idea what to do!

I bought the app to see what was the fuzz about. The game looks nice, but I have no idea what should I do to craft stuff, what to do around, etc. I know that there are monsters during the night! I restarted the game a few times until I learned how to build a cave to spend the night in. Please help!

You can chop down trees (hold down the screen) and that will get you wood. Once you have 4 blocks, you can then make a crafting table. This will allow you to make so much more stuff

In creative mode you should get creative, build awesome stuff and then you'll get addicted to creating lol. at least it's a great time killer when you need it

Any tips for survival mode? I already created the crafting table, now what can I do with it?
