As I'm in the UK, I have to visit the en-gb version of the Windows Phone Store. When I visit the en-us version, I am unable to download apps as there is a mismatch between my phone and the stores region settings.

I noticed that the if I visit the en-us store, apps have different ratings from the en-gb one. Take UC Browser for example:
UC1.PNGUC2.PNG

Nearly five times more ratings. Why doesn't MS just aggregate the ratings? It seems crazy to have different ratings for different regions.

I understand your point but I see it different.
I am Dutch so I would like to know the rating of the app from my region because I use it in my region.

Different apps will perform better in different regions.
Any app that has anything to do with location for example. Then throw in cultural, social and language differences. Aggregating the ratings wouldn't be a good idea.
Although it's interesting to see MS for once being aware that there are markets outside the US.

I see your point about region / language / etc.
Perhaps MS could give an overall total, then the number in your region?

Leaving just a regional rating can make it look like apps are unpopular and that few people care enough to rate.
