I made comparison between several YouTube clients, MetroTube, myTube!, and Tubecast.

Note that this is personal opinion so mistakes is expected.

Metrotube
- What I like:
. Beautifully designed, the best in term of design
. Music button
. My region is available on the list
. Open in Metrotube from IE
. Background audio (continue playing the sound)
. 3 search filter

- What I dislike:
. Can't play video while searching
. No live tile for subscription/popular
. No synced playlist
. No synced liked videos
. Tapping on video pauses it
. Can't run under lock screen, it automatically switches to background audio

myTube!
- What I like:
. Can play video while searching
. Multiple account
. Music button
. Synced liked videos
. Background audio (continue playing the sound)
. 2 search filter
. Developer looks nice and promising

- What I dislike:
. Interface is so-so, not really intuitive and not as beautiful as Metrotube
. No live tile for subscription/popular
. My region is not available on the list
. No synced playlist
. Can't run under lock screen, it automatically switches to background audio

Tubecast
- What I like:
. Can play video while searching
. Live tile
. Seek preview
. My region is listed
. Open in Tubecast from IE
. Show memory usage
. New video count in subscription list
. 5 search filter
. Run under lock screen without background audio service
. Synced liked videos
. Background audio (continue playing the sound)

- What I dislike:
. Interface isn't good, too cramped and looks like metrofied version of Android's YouTube
. Most channel in Best of Youtube is not working for months and they haven't removed it yet
. No synced playlist
. No music button

Verdicts
I still have no idea which is the best.

Note
I don't have chromecast so I can't test it.

So what did I miss? What's your opinion on best YouTube client?

Sorry for bad English.

I personally use mytube and tubecast.
Mytube for day to day use because I love how smooth it runs and how beautify it is designed.
And Tubcast to cast videos to my tv ( without chromecast just through Wifi wich is awesome)

I solely rely on myTube, especially with the download feature they have added in the recent update. I have tried both Metrotube and Tubecast before. However, Tubecast looks meh and Metrotube is okay. What I would really like is myTube with Metrotube's player interface.

Tubecast does have a music button, it's just not where you'd expect it: under the cast button, select Windows Phone Audio - also you can just exit the app and the audio from a video will play in the background if you have the right setting on. It also has synced playlists, but for some reason can't go to the next video after the current one had ended neither automatically like myTube nor manually. Technically you can manually but you have to press the back button in the app then go to the next video and hit play 😐. I don't understand why they don't have that feature.

Metrotube is the one using now... The only thing annoying is the background audio when u exit the video without pausing it first.
