Music player for WP8.1

I currently use the standard Windows Music app for my music and playlists, but the thing I hate the most about it is; the music app is constantly "resetting," for lack of a better word, between instances of launching the app. I'll launch the music app, and it will completely forget the music track or playlist I was using last, and it will re-enable the 'shuffle' option, despite me disabling it at every opportunity.

Is there a reliable music player which is capable of reading playlist files (.pla) and will keep track of the current position of the currently-playing track, between uses of the app?
