How to disable deletion of files from the computer

I have very important files in OneDrive , however I am concerned that family members might delete files from the OneDrive folder on my pc. I do not want to protect it with password , I just want to be able to upload from this folder, but being able to delete only from the onedrive website.

I think you may be able to make the folder read-only, but I don't think that'll work well.

best solution is to make another user account that is off-limits to family members.

Also worth noting that you can undelete things from OneDrive's website through its Recycle Bin.

I'd also hide backups somewhere in the computer or better yet, on another storage device.
