I am excited to see Twitter update their app!

BUT, it won't work for me. I noticed this with the Windows 10 app on PCs. I could never get it to startup after installing. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and tried on different computers. In almost every case (except on one computer) the same thing happened, the splash screen came on and then the app shutdown.

Now with the new mobile app it's doing the same thing. The app starts up and then closes. Uninstalled and reinstalled. No change.

IS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCING THIS?

Wow. It is a universal app. Its just that it pops out a message saying its not. The only thing is that you can't switch accounts

It is a nice update, just wish you could start the timeline at last read location. Until they implement that I will keep using 3rd party apps.

I'm yet to get notifications from it though it's showing in the background apps list for me and turned on.

You can switch accounts, its just the strangest most hidden place to do so.... You have to go to the "Me" page, hit the two heads icon and select the 2nd account from the drop-down there - works on both mobile and pc version. Its great that it is being developed, but I'm still instantly back to Tweetium...

Is there any way to have a clean timeline that doesn't have retweets and likes moving to the top? It just about guarantees that stupid stuff keeps ruining my timeline. I just want a timeline in order! I have turned off "Show me the best tweets first" which completely ruins the timeline.

I find I'm looking at Twitter less and less. Because they force retweets and likes to the top I encounter old stuff unless I do a lot of scrolling and careful reading of the times. I used Twitter mainly for timely updates on news, weather, traffic, etc. and to follow a few select interesting people, but now I keep getting retweets mucking things up making it much less interesting and useful. The really annoying thing is to read something once and then have it keep reappearing near the top of the timeline.

I use the new Twitter on my Lumia 950,..it looks good ..but if you want to tweet Photo's now and then its not working..also when you are watching someone's foto's suddenly it shuts down the twitter application and you go back to your startscreen...
Also saving pictures from twitter to your phone is very complictated now..in the old version you could just say save to phone and then it was Ok the picture was being saved to the savedpicutures..but now you have to do 3 steps and then give the image a name..pfff...

On my old lumia 1020 Twitter is running much better and faster...

Also in the new version you cannot shut down "video autoplay" that is **** because now you are using lots of MB's because of all this
stupid 30 second porn movies...

the new version....looks good but its crap:devil::devil:

in this new app you cannot shut down "video autoplay" now my 950 is using a lot of MB's ...because of all the short movies on Twitter.
Also uploading picutes goes wrong much to much...
And if you are watching someone's picutes the phone shuts down the application and then you are back to the start screen...
This new Twitter app for windows 10 looks good from the outside ...but when using it its crap.
