Transfer my data

I recently purchased a 950. My older phone was a galaxy s6. I'm trying to transfer text messages from the s6 to my 950. The method I have read about partly involves downloading a Windows app call transfer my data. However, the store want let me download it because it requires either a wvga or wxga display. Does anyone know of a way around this. Either a setting I can change to trick the store or get the apk and sideload it? Any help would be appreciated. Maybe someone knows of another method to transfer texts.
