What we saw in IO is not out yet, it WAS impressive though. Yes I think Cortana, and Alexa can compete, both are also working on similar enhancements too, I'm sure. AI is a buzzword, BUT it's the flavor of the moment. All sorts of device manufacturers are slinging it around. Google Assistant and Alexa are already making inroads on integration in to all sorts of things, appliances, "smart" speakers, etc You would think Microsoft is also working on this with Cortana.

I'm not sure. Cortana is really far behind as far as functionality is concerned. Plus, there are far fewer manufacturers showing interest in Cortana. On my PCs, Cortana is pretty much useless to me. But, I use Google Assistant pretty much every day. Microsoft is facing a major uphill climb, but I'm still hopeful.

Yea I hear ya SGL! Really I think it's a 3 horse race between Assistant, Alexa, and Siri. No offense to Cortana and Bixby. ;)

MS doesnt want cortana on consumer devices, its doing a lot in integrating it with azure and O365.
