Google Calendar event changes take days to sync with WP 8.1 calendar

Time changes for events in a public Google calendar take days to reflect in Nokia 920 WP 8.1 calendar.
Public calendar is pulled into Google account included on the phone.
Have tried manually syncing - removing and re-adding the Google calendar.
Any ideas?

This isn't unique, unfortunately. Google tends to have "problems" with a ton of MS services. Actually, the calendar and email client tend to work well, so I wonder if there isn't a glitch on the WP 8.1 side.

By removing the calendar, I am guessing you mean removing the G-mail account? If not, I would try that and reinstall the email address.

Is this your main calendar? Can you use the one in in an Outlook account if this doesn't solve it?
