Why is my battery charging properly?

Battery Problem

Hi, i have a nokia lumia 520 before 3-4 days ago it was all good but then i had some problems with my phone battery, idk what to do when i connect to the charger it lights up showing battery icon but then it turns off and it turns on again looping forever.....i tryed with the computer connect cable and it seems that's charging but battery level is the same please help me

Have you left it plugged in long enough?

Also worth noting that computers don't put out as much power as a wall plug.
