Contacts problem on 8.1

Just updated my lumia 1520 to 8.1 and discovered that when I go to contacts list I have contacts added from facebook which I don't want. I only ticked the hotmail only box so why is it still coming up. Seems like the only way to see my original contact lust is on people hub which I don't like as I I need to listen to a voicemail or make a call I now have to go to the phone tile or go to people hub to call someone. So annoying. Is there a way to not have people on my facebook added to my contacts list?

If you go to the FB apps settings, there is a switch "connect to my phone" or something like that. Also sync now button which I think is for the contacts. You can try to play with those settings? I guess you might lose something else too if you totally turn it off.
