Assistant on BlackBerry?

I just heard from somewhere that BlackBerry will be getting a voice assistant.

Any truth in it?

Any ideas on how it would affect bb market?

Wonder if it will be US only at first like Cortana. But already it seems to be more useful than Cortana, seems to be able to read back emails and mark them unread, from the BB blog. Much more useful than doing impersonations.....

Right now, BlackBerry Voice Control on 10.2.1 does basic stuff like read last unread email, bbm/sms/email/tweet/status update. But it can't do stuff like load up an app or in their example turn on the flash light.

Other than read last message when I am driving, I have zero interest in BlackBerry Voice Control or soon to be called BlackBerry Assistant in the next 10.3 release.
