some apps are not accessing while using wifi connection ,its show connected but not working

I have been using the Lumia 520 for over 4 months now and although WhatsApp had a lot of bugs, WiFi connectivity wasn't an issue. But for the past 2 days I have not been able to send or receive messages on WhatsApp via WiFi. It seems to be working fine with the mobile data though. The connection status reads "Not Connected" in the settings screen when WiFi is on.

Restart your phone and check the wifi settings of your phone..it sometimes happen when the windows gets corrupt
Restarting ur phone and checking your settings is gonna fix this else u need to format.
