    I have confirmed with Vodafone Ireland and the Nokia Availaility page that the Cyan update is available for the 1520. I downgraded to 8.0 from the 8.1 Dev Preview via the recovery tool. When I use the Phone update option it is telling me that my phone is upto date. The VF support guy suggested that I download Zune software and try to update the phone!

    On the nokia page under the Latest version heading the number is 02061.00066.14253.40002 when I check my version it is 1028.3562.1402.0003. Would this have any bearing on the update not being found?

    Truly shows how much "support" guys really know doesn't it. Is your phone a Vodafone native (ie it's your original network and hasn't been unlocked from a different network and you're using a Vodafone SIM)?

    Yes it is downgraded to 8.0 just to confirm the difference in version number s would have nthing to do with it?

    Shouldn't have any bearing on it at all - it (should) detect you have an older version and offer to update it for you. It could be one of the system apps isn't the right version since the downgrade - I did the downgrade a while back and for some reason it took the phone (620) a few hours tfor the store to register updates were there.

    Give this a go: download an app called "sys app pusher" and tell that to check for updates, you should be able to update the system apps (like extras+info) with that. Get all those up to date, restart the phone (just to make sure) and then check for the Cyan update.
