Lumia 1520 Sim Slot pins broken

Hi,

I am using Lumia 1520 & yesterday when i changed the sim to other it did not detected & later when I inserted previous sim, it did not detected either. In the evening when I shown it to Nokia Care they said the pins in the slot are broken & fixing cost more than 20% of the cost of the phone itself which is not fair for changing just the slot of sim. Can you guys suggest any solution.

Is it the actual sim tray that broke or inside the phone that broke where you put the sim in?

I have the feeling that you mean the SIM contact connector... the SIM tray is too easy to charge you that kind of money. Well, that job of changing the SIM connector can't be that easy... but there is, the SIM connector part in this store here.

Remember that kind of job needs some good levels of knowledge about the internals and how electronic devices work. It's up to you.

Yes the inner pins which detects the sim card seems to be broken. But its was absolutely fine just before I removed old sim..
