I would love to have it, can I edit my files even if I don't have a computer nearby, I can copy music to drive and visa versa.

Would be very cool. Symbian had it. IOS doesn't have it. As far as I now Android also doesn't have it.

Yes, as noted, it's common on current Android flagships.

On Android, I use a Kingston USB/microUSB drive to store a current backup, the occasional movie or two, music, disconnects and a "safety" ROM.

Thing is tiny; I keep it on my keychain.

most high end Android phones have had usb otg for some time now,
Its about time windows phone had it,
They have had it for ages. On top of that, they have had High Resolution Audio playback via USB, also for ages. With high end portable audio devices such as the Chord Electronics Hugo becoming more and more popular, Windows Phone still compares to Android like Linux compares to Windows for the PC because Linux typically also does not support all the latest and greatest PC hardware.

What good is a mobile phone when it simply cannot communicate with other mobile devices? So call me in on this, with the emphasis on 'call'... because nobody at Microsoft has been answering!
