Facebook notifactions about friends photo uploads etc

I keep getting facebook notifications about friends updating statuses and uploading photos. This can be managed through the push notifications on android iPhone and iPads but I cannot seem to make it stop on my nokia lumia! Please help as it is driving me crazy!!!

Go into Facebook app's settings, and you can tell it what to and what not to alert you to.

Won't this turn off notifactions for when I'm tagged etc. there are no options for status uploads or photo uploads from friends. On ipad etc you turn these off by unchecking the box that says 'activity you missed' in push notifications but it appears there is no option for the windows app. Any other suggestions?

Try going onto those specific friend pages (via the desktop site) and see if "get notifications" is ticked under the friend menu. If that's ticked then you will get a notification about every little thing they do.

I've tried this too. All the ones I get are unchecked so don't even know why it's notifying me
