Office 365 set up

Onedrive on my Nokia Lumia 1020 does not sync with Office 365 Onedrive as accessed by my laptop. If I try Office 365 setup on the Office hub, after being prompted for and entering associated outlook.com email address and password, I get the message "Something's wrong .................. we encountered a problem and could not perform this task" and I am simply offered an "OK" button. Outlook.com email itself syncs OK.
Any suggestions?

Do you use the same Microsoft Account for your Windows Phone and your Office 365?

I have the same problem as the original poster. No, I believe Office 365 was bought with my outlook.com account and I set up my Lumia 1520 with a alias account (from the same account). Is that the problem? How to fix?
