Hello Windows Phone users, I'm due for an upgrade on September 30, and would like to know a few things. Firstly, before HTC announced the HTC One M8 for Windows, I had made up my mind that I would go with the Lumia Icon (I'm on Verizon), but with the introduction of this phone from HTC, I'm second-guessing myself. Obviously it's just been released so none of you can tell me about any hands on experience with it though. I bought a cheap GoPhone from Walmart to play around with the Windows Phone environment, and fell in love immediately. One of the features that I enjoyed playing with was the Nokia Cinemagraph camera app. Very neat. Can you install this Nokia app on an HTC phone? I looked in the Windows app store and found it listed, so I'm guessing you can, but I'd like to hear from more than just myself.

I haven't compared the two phone's features side-by-side yet, but I will tonight. I think in the end I'm probably going to end up going with the Lumia, but if anybody wants to talk me out of it, I'm listening. Is there any reason I should go with the Lumia Icon over the new HTC One M8?

Thank you, and any other helpful information that I didn't ask about or might not be aware of would be much appreciated, too.

no need to install Nokia apps as HTC has demoed its own Cinemagraph type app and TBH it's very impressive especially the ability to make pics 3D!!!! Correction HTC's camera has many features and I do believe it will give you another good experience to the one had on the L920.Check it out have it demoed to you and you'll see.

Yes but exclusively designed apps like some Samsung and htc apps can not be installed on nokia and vice versa.
