Android M8 to WP M8

Hello, is there anyway to transfer pictures and txt messages from HTC m8 android to HTC m8 windows?

Use usb cables and transfer the files from and to the specific files

How about if I were to use an app such as SMS Backup & Restore to back them up as xml and then restore. Would that work?

I really don't think that there is a way to transfer messages unless there is an app like Nokia transfer tool other than that I don't know

Just use the ' transfer my data ' under setting or found in apps list will do.
