lumia 1020 wifi keeps dropping

I have a lumia 1020, it has the most recent software and its connected to an apple airport extreme which also has the most recent firmware. I have done a hard reset on both(factory reset) and every time I connect to the wifi it works good for a couple seconds or maybe a couple minutes if I'm lucky then i get a message that there is no internet on my Nokia, yet every device works perfectly fine. Also I noticed that while its still connected the "data rate" show from my airport utility says its about "6mb/s" but when it starts it shows as about "90mb/s" I don't know if anyone can help me out here
