Nokia 920 start screen screen colors

Windows 8.1 cyan installed. Two weeks later another automatic update. My start screen colors automatically changed to black/white or white/black except colors of certain apps. Through settings, start and them, tried to change the background color back to its original cyan (blue). Not possible - only dark or light background colors offered. Start screen looks awful in either! How can I get a cyan background back? Had tons of color choices for background in 8.0 - now only ugly b/w - no personalization any more...

Go into the settings, then "ease of access" then turn off High Contrast
