[SAMSUNG Ativ S] 8.1 update?

Hi, i just know the basics on stuff like this , i have an ativ s and live in uk, should the 8.1 update be avalible to me now? My wifes Nokia has jus updated to 8.1 and wen i check for updates it says the phone is up to date? Bit gutted cause she's got all these new features and i haven't!

IM on network called giffgaff, ive had a look on there forums and cant find anything on there

OK... so gifgaf resells O2 airtime. Getting closer. I wonder is your phone unlocked? Was it ever branded to a carrier like O2? Or maybe it is gifgaf branded?

I'm trying to track down some carrier website support pages to see if the update is out there... No luck so far.

Samsung has not yet released the official 8.1, may happen somewhere in the coming weeks.

Hello there. I live in the Netherlands. I have a sim lock free Samsung Ativ S.
October 30th started an update to version 8.0.10532.166.
After it completed I was instructed that my Phone was ready for new updates, WP 8.1 among them. I could wait for the latter to come automatically or check manually for updates. Of course I checked myself. And there it came. But when all was finished I was surprised to see that the software now is "Windows Phone 8.1 Update", version 8.10.14157.200. The firmware is now 2424.14.93, was 2424.13.12.2.
My wife's Nokia 520 (also sim lock free) got Windows Phone 8.1 in June, but until now no Windows Phone 8.1 Update.
