Nokia Lumia 830, 925 or 730?

Hi everybody!

iPhone user here ready to make the move. The thing is that with so many Lumias I got a little lost. I can't afford a 930 so these are the models in my price range: 925, 830 and 730. Which one is the fastest (for mainly internet browsing, multitasking, camera and casual gaming) and of course, which one do you think is the best investment?

theres no fastest as such and theres no "best investment" as such,all 3 are great phones
frankly the 730 is the most value for money of all three but given a choice with pricing kept aside, in order of preference and value for money- 830,730,925

ill list the cons of each so you can choose your own preferences
730-no camera button,no capacitive keys,no glance screen
925-no sd card slot,limited storage -16gb,camera is often bested by the 6.7MP sensor found on the 720 and 730 especially in challenged lighting condition(low-light etc)
830-higher pricing

on the whole the 730 and 830 are very worth considering unless you are getting the 925 at a very low price or something but the 16gb storage and no sd card is a big drawback for many
the beauty of windows phone is that you dont lose much by making a choice and updates ,speed,apps are a standard and all perform equally for regular stuff

Can't say which is the fastest since they seem uncomparable or onpar on paper.


Differences off the top of my head.
730:
No glance (don't know what it is, you may not care)
No camera button
camera is good for low light, but might be best by the other two.
Best FFC
No Qi wireless charging on the 730 (735 has it)
I dont remember memory

830:
Don't know how the 830 will compare camera-wise, but it looks good.
Qi Wireless charging
16 GB memory + SD expansion

925:
Older, but used to be a flagship.
Great camera, don't know how the 830 stacks up.
Qi wireless charging requires an addon shell
slightly smaller display
nonreplaceable battery unlike the other two (smaller I believe as well)
16 GB memory, no SD card

For me? I'd probably get the 830.

Pretty close with those two. Take the battery time in to consideration also. Don't know about the 830, 925 has 2000mAh.

The camera on the 830 should be better, more pixels at least?

830 is much better than 925 except for the higher price
it has a bigger battery,better cpu,sd card slot(925 is 16gb without sd card slot),camera is also better

If someone is a selfie freak, buy 730, or else 830. 925 is totally out, as its old(but good), processor is dual core, 830 has a better camera with expandable memory, bigger screen, also its thinner

The other consideration is who's your carrier. Not every model is available on every carrier. I'm on Verizon and waiting for the 735 to arrive. I'd have gone for the 830 but I doubt Verizon is getting both.

you guys never get updates on them and its rather concerning that they stopped updating the lumia 810 altogether

That's sounds good except that when you're on a share everything/family plan, you just can't switch like that.

if its a GSM carrier, you could swap it with no problem I imagine.
I swapped my ATT SIM into a Treo once and I'm on a family share plan thing.
