Why has my phone frozen?

Please my phone has frozen and i dont know what to do now, please help me!

my phone cannot boot the only word I see on my screen is 'nokia' and a blue screen and in few minutes it goes off.

Sadly, you might need to hard reset your device.

To perform a hard reset, while the device is off... press the Volume Down, Camera and Power buttons at the same time. Hold all three buttons down until the phone vibrates then release power button and hold volume down and camera for a further five seconds.

Can you remove your battery?
