Why is it so that the much awaited Lumia 830 is launching worldwide for around $420-$430 EXCEPT in INDIA where it has launched for $470!!!

Also the Lumia 930 had launched worldwide for around $500-$530 except India! Now, even after 3-4 months, the Lumia 930 is priced at $650 in India at launch!!!
(No problem with Lumia 730)

Please note that a difference of mere 40-50 dollars makes a lot of difference in ₹! (rupees - INR)

Moreover, many important accessories including the wireless charging Flip cases for Lumia 830 and Lumia 930 haven't launched!! It's partiality!!

Now, should I wait for a month for the prices to lower down? And, are there any chances of the accessories to come to India?

I'm too upset! >:-(

Also, the ₹6000 discount from Snapdeal - App may be for a limited time; not for more than a month, isn't it?

Lumia 830 is priced at ₹28k, I agree its costly, but if you want to buy it, buy from snapdeal app on WP, you'll get ₹6k discount.
930's also costlier but its still cheaper than 1520. Official price of 1520 is ₹42k, whereas 930 is around ₹38k.

The accessories of 730,830,930 would be launched in 2 months when they are available. Don't expect the 830,930 accessories too soon when they are not even available! Wait for 2 months you'll get everything

I know about the discount from Snapdeal! Also the Lumia 1520 is Lumia 1520 and Lumia 930 is Lumia 930 in their respective places! Don't compare them for their prices!

Why not? Those who don't want a large phone like 1520, they go for 930.
I never said 930 was cheap, but lets say in some months, it would definitely be under ₹35k.

K. However, I am going to buy it in mid-November as I have been given a condition to score best in my upcoming exams! :_(

because Microsft/Nokia India has lost it by pricing 30-series higher than 20-series and is still marketing ads of nokia x instead of lumias
i suggest you get the 1520 or the 830 or even the 730 they are vfm and you dont lose out on features(excluding 730-glance ,camera buttons, capacitive keys)

So what've you decided?
730, 830 or 930?

Lumia 830, my first and last choice.
I had begun hating the Lumia 930 from the time then Nokia decided not to launch it in India. At that time my board results were out and the score was as expected - but no Lumia 930 - the unexpected!

See, in other countries you get phone on contract, but that can't be considered cheap, say if a phone costs ₹25 k, when the contract gets over, you always end up paying say ₹28k minimum, but here its not so you can but it for ₹25. But still sometimes there are offers in other countries where they give phones off contract, that's where the profit lies.

Well, now I am just getting excited minute-by-minute, waiting for the day to arrive when I'll place my order for the Lumia 830 and from that day again getting excited second-by-second, waiting for the day to arrive when I'll receive the delivery! ::wink:

The reason phones in India are priced higher than the US and certain other countries is because of the tax levied by India. You will always get electronic items cheaper abroad.

Its not even taxes,if they can reduce pricing bit by but from 28k to 20k within a few months ,it means they are cheating and overpricing ,still Nokia and Moto don't do it as much as the other companies so its still fine because the effort they put in their phones is worth it
