Why isn't my phone charging properly?

my phone wont turn on. its been charging for 20 mins now but still nothing. no sign of power

Left it playing music via my Bluetooth speaker.. Came back a while later and nothing, no vibration no lights nothing is coming on..Tried holding the power-button still nothing.
Its on charge via USB mains charger and wireless case but no life.
Help please..

Try holding the power button AND the volume down button together for about 10 seconds until it vibrates...
