Indeed they don't. Including the apps formerly known as Bing X (news, sport, etc) which is shameful.
There are some apps that are available that will provide transparent tiles for some of the apps that don't have them.

If it doesn't have the option, you can use apps like Start Perfect, Transparency Tiles to make a transparent tile. (lose the Live part of them though)
otherwise, you cant do much else.

The developer actually has to update their apps to support transparent tiles. Unfortunately, some developers haven't updated yet. Maybe attempt to use the contact information if provided to contact the developer to suggest an update to accept transparent tile?
