Windows Central Question

I have a Lumia 930 and I just got a secure SIM card from at&t today. But it still says not available for my device. Does it mean this app only works with phones you can get from at&t (1020, 1520, etc)???

See the comments on this article: Softcard for Windows Phone only works with AT&T right now, Verizon and T-Mobile coming soon | Windows Central

Only AT&T branded phones just now... Big Fat Bummer. What a let down after hearing SoftCard finally came out. Looks like my 1520.3 on T-Mo probably won't get this either.

This could only happen in the US where the carriers are effectively drug cartels with their allotted territories - only "family" approved devices are recognized and supported.. Other parts of the world have had carrier free devices for a long time and such a stupid restriction would basically make such a system useless and would not work.

I grew up thinking America is advanced country, but when it comes to GSM operators then I'm really glad I live in Europe!
Bashing aside, supporting Windows Phone tap to pay finally is a great thing. Operator TIM in Italy also supports it and it works on all nfc WP phones. I hope other operators take it as an example asap!
