Whatsapp Live Tile is Shaded and App Won't Open

For some reason the live tile for Whatsapp has become shaded out and when i try to press on it nothing happens.
I tried opening the app by going to the whole app list and selecting it from there but that doesn't work either when i press it.
This is a very recent issue and nothing i have experienced/heard of before?

Anyone had this issue?
Solution please? I suppose I could try to uninstall the app but I don't want to lose my chats/whatsapp data etc.

did you recently do a soft reset? happens to me occasionally.
give it a few minutes and it should return to normal.
also, if you have whatsapp set to back up your txt/chat, you'll not lose the data
if you uninstall and the reinstall.

Is the App installed on an SD card by chance? The phone may have "lost sight" of it...

Unmount the card via Storage Sense and then reboot.

Same issue here.
In Store, no "View" or "Share" button available for WhatsApp.
Please reply if anyone has solution

Guys!

Please help! I just updated whatsapp to the latest version, and now I am also facing the same issue.

The whatsapp icon is shaded out, & I'm unable to open it.

I tried soft reset, still didn't work!! I'm using L920.

Didja unmount the card before reboot to force the phone to scan the contents?

Have you tried the Windows Phone App for Desktop? I find that helpful on getting my card indexed... But only used it for media read errors so far.
