Why does the phone screen expand all of a sudden?

There are times on my phone where the screen expands to such proportions that i cannot do anything on the phone after that. I have to restart my phone in such cases to get the screen back to normal. Has anyone faced this problem and does anyone have a suggestion for this?

You might be mistakenly activating the magnification option. Try this.. Tap two fingers on the screen and see if it zooms in.. Fingers should be close to each other.. Used to happen to me until I figured that out.

Go to Settings > Ease of Access > make sure Magnifier is turned off.
