Hey Everyone - If I want to go back and try Windows Phone again, what is going to give me the best experience as far as phone and latest OS goes? Carrier doesn't matter (as long as it's US).

I'm just looking for the best experience in a Windows Phone, but also want to stay on the latest OS, or at least be updated quickly.

The 1520 is tops. Yea it has a six inch screen but u get used to it. The only downfall is once u go big u don't want to go back. So if they don't make a new 6 inch flagship down the road it will be irritating. Also its on att which by far has the best WP support.

I'm using a Note 4 right now, and am generally an Android user so I'm no stranger to large phones. I have no issues with a larger phone, but wouldn't mind something smaller at times too.

1520.3 or RM-938 is Factory Unlocked and gets all needed frequencies for all speeds up to and including LTE on both AT&T towers and T-MoUS networks. It is better than the AT&T model due to built in Qi charging and automatic 32GB internal storage. AT&T variant is 16GB storage except a hard to get 32GB Variant. All AT&T 1520s have Qi stripped out and need a jacket (charging case) to charge wirelessly on the PowerMat format.

1520 is a beast of a phone and has hardware to get every scrap of 8.1.1 + Lumia Denim coming later this year (so we are promised by rumor and Msft statements). It is immediately update-able to 8.1 + Lumia Cyan.

The only other phones out right now in the same class are 930/Icon and HTC One M8 for Windows.

The Icon is limited to Verizon in the US. Both it and the 930 lack Glance and a microSD slot.

HTC One M8 for Windows is now on major US carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-MoUS), but is locked down to that carrier for at least 6 months. HTC has made assurances that M8 will get support... HTC fans are ecstatic. Others are skeptical based on HTC's past support of Windows Phone.

I would pick 1520 as the best choice for spec, features and future proofing. In fact I did pick it. I upgraded from Lumia 925 to a 1520.3 in August and I still love it.

I'm in the same boat as RumoredNow. Except that I'm about a month into my 1520.3 from my 920.
