Why am I not able to sign into my Microsoft Account?

Problems signing in to my Microsoft Account

I have a OneDrive for Business account that I can access using my laptop so I know that I have the correct email address and password but when I attempt to sign in using my shiny new HTC One M8 I receive a "Can't connect" message that tells me someone has entered an incorrect password for this account too many times.
Am I using an incorrect account, does this not work with OneDrive for Business? What am I failing to understand here?

The OneDrive App on your One M8 is geared for personal use and your personal Onedrive Account by default.

OneDrive for Business is formerly SharePoint or SkyDrive Pro and works on different servers. I see that the OneDrive App lets you differentiate between the two as of the most recent update. Check that you are using OneDrive 4.4 or higher.
