Is WP 8.1 Preview Denim having issues with Microphone and USB?

After updating to Denim, my Lumia 720 charges but cannot connect via USB to PC and both microphones are not working, Additional issues with networking - sluggish WiFi and Store does not download applications anymore, just shows Downloading... overlay.

There is no Denim in the Preview for Developers... If your Extras + Info shows Denim that is a bug. Reboot and that should go away.

Part of the issue with P4D is it is not optimized for your device. That comes with firmware like Cyan or Denim. P4D moves your core OS away from the optimization by advancing the OS prior to firmware tweaks. That's why Preview users may experience networking and other issues.

I'd try searching and posting questions to the Preview for Developers area or the 720 forum.
