Gmail vs. Outlook

All my friends use gmail. How to tell them that outlook is far better than gmail??

Just use Outlook for yourself. They won't change their minds if they're convinced it's better :/

The problem is that theg keep sending me google drive links & google docs, which makes it annoying... If u know a way to work with that, pls help me

Outlook is really that good?
I use both, the UI of Gmail android app is far better than outlook for android and WP.depends on your taste.outlook for simplicity and Gmail for complexity.

I have exactly the same problem. All my students friends are working on this ****ty Google docs... So I have a Google account that's not a Gmail accoun to work with them. I don't know how I did that, but I made a Google account with a @Yahoo.fr mail adress. You won't convince them to work with office online...

Outlook is way better! Everytime I use Google drive there's compatibility issues for someone. Outlook "rules" are infinitely better than Gmail "filters". Outlook is cleaner. Filters spam better and because few people use it compared to Gmail there are still a lot of available email names.

I don't think so.rules are really case sensitive that does not work for different emails from a single sender.
Eg: amazon (order & not reply & request etc)
I use my Gmail as a public email for signing on any website but still no spam even in junk.I did not use my outlook account anywhere than my WP.but i get emails from Reserve bank of India due of $5000 for their service,you won this much send your contact information,etc in my junk folder. Ok,why even in junk? rather than block email completely.

Can you really manage folders from outlook on windows phone or from IE on mobile.sure you can't.( right click on folder and delete does not work for WP in web).
Coming to Gmail as I said it has very good UI in android where outlook does not even reach its standard on WP.
And now notification system
this system is awful for emails in outlook on WP than Gmail on android.does outlook does not notify you about emails received in other folder rather than inbox.where as Gmail notifies you about everything you receive no matter which folder they go.

I'm talking about the outlook web version and program the WP email sucks. There's really no way around how bad it is.
