Why am I getting an error message when trying to set my sim pin ( 'incorrect pin')?

Trying to set a sim pin but I get 'incorrect pin'

I am in the UK and EE is my provider, I have owned my 920 from new and I decided I would like to protect my sim by activating the sim protection option.
I went into settings>phone>sim security and entered a random pin number (one that I would remember) but I got the message 'incorrect pin' and 2 attempts remaining, I tried this again and got the same result and I now have only 1 more attempt before the phone locks itself.

My question is, is there a default pin that I need to enter before I can enter my own?

Cheers

Re: Trying to set a sim pin but I get 'incorrect pin'

SORTED........Just found out that the default pin code is 1111, I entered that and it was accepted, I then changed it to my memorable pin number.

Thanks for looking.

This is probably something you should ask EE about. A Google suggests the default pin is 1111 but inputting this seems risky if you're not 100% certain it is correct.

Edit: Nvm, I see you sorted!
