Why won't my phone calendar sync to desktop Outlook but Outlook syncs ok to phone?

Phone calendar won't sync to desktop outlook, but outlook syncs ok to phone!

Recently had my phone returned after having broken screen replaced. Set up Microsoft Account, Yahoo Mail account and work account on phone ok. When I put new appointments on my work Outlook calendar they appear ok on my phone Calendar. But when I add appointments to my phone calendar they don't appear on my work Outlook calendar. Can anyone suggest how to make it work in both directions?

Push under SETTINGS > email+accounts on your accounts. What do you see in the box [down load new content]. You can change this interval.
