Nokia Lumia 900 not sending or receiving a majority of texts. Battery dies fast and phone is warm.

My phone does not send all of my text messages, but they show as if sent. I also do not receive texts that have been sent and if I do it is well after they have been sent. My phone has been dying very quickly and has been pretty warm.

It sounds like the battery is on its way out. I experienced that issue with a BlackBerry 9000 several years ago and bought a new battery. Unfortunately, the Lumia 900 has a sealed battery, which probably isn't worth replacing at this time, especially with the new 635 available for around $60 without a contract on Amazon.com.

I still have a bold 9000 cradled on my nightstand, best damn alarm clock I've ever owned lol

But to the op, start with a factory reset and go from there.
