I am waiting for the denim update for my Lumia 1520. So will it update according to where I am? Or where the phone is from? I'm in UK and phone is from Hong Kong.

Where the phone is from. So if Hong Kong gets it your phone gets it.

Here's the list of updates... The list gets updated when the updates get upped. LOL.

You do need to look it up by phone, not your location.
