WPCentral Question

I want to buy an unlocked Windows Phone and use it on the Straight Talk service. I've got some extra cash on hand and would rather spend 300-600 on a phone and then save on my monthly bill. I've always wanted a Windows Phone and this is the one I want. It's specs are perfect for me, it's recent and available on Amazon. Or at least it is here:

amazon .com/Nokia-International-Version-Warranty-Unlocked/dp/B00LND0AL2%3Fpsc%3D1%26SubscriptionId%3DAKIAJKKTJAC33DYSAVBQ%26tag%3Dgdgt0c20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB00LND0AL2

or here:

amazon .com/RM-1045-BRIGHT-FACTORY-UNLOCKED-SIMFREE/dp/B00LVT0ILK/ref=pd_cp_cps_0

So, if I go ahead and buy one of these, will it work out? Straight Talk has a website feature where you can plug in the device ID and see if it's compatible, but of course I would have to buy it first-and I'd like to know before I drop four hundred on a phone. If not Straight Talk, where else could I use this Lumia 930? I don't want a contract...

If you want LTE in the US you need a Factory Unlocked 1520 (RM-938), or an 830 (RM-985). A 1320 (RM-995) will also work.

Check out the radio on each model you look at. For AT&T or T-Mo you want to see Band 2, 4, 17 all present.
