It's now 2015. Are some Surface Pro 3's still have heating issues?

Windows Central Question

I just ordered an i7 Surface Pro 3. I was a bit hasty in my order and remembered they had some complaints on getting really warm or overheating. I'm sure this is old hat by now, but that's my point. Either it's something that's fixed or it's not and never will be. Regardless it's been a delayed order/shipping process for me and I've had time to worry. The one thing I noticed in researching this is most pertinent articles are dated August or September 2014, not a lot later. So, i7 Surface owners...thoughts?

I got my i7 SP3 just this Xmas and have been using it daily ever since. Depending on what I do with it it's gets warmer than usual. But certainly not during normal tasks like browsing the web and such. This rather happens when playing games, watching video or something like that. But I haven't gotten to the point where the device became too hot to be held. Far from it.
