    can any 3rd party on internet come up with the right unlock code for a t- mobile locked nokia 521 phone?

    Depends...in England it will cost 15 to unlock a phone and takes a few mins to do. But different countries have different rules on that

    The best answer is always to get the carrier to unlock the phone...

    If that is not possibel due to your not being a customer, then do your research on those 3rd party unlock services to see which can really accomplish the unlock. Different phones have differing difficulties.

    You will have needed to spend at least $100 on prepaid access before TMo will unlock it. The thing being, as RumoredNow suggest, it is best to get the carrier to unlock it. The only third parties use someone within TMo OR they pay someone with a TMo account to unlock it. This can take up t a week or more.

    Buy a TMo $100 prepaid (non-refundable) then see if they will instantly unlock it. They may make you wait until the $100 has been used, but worth a try. It is pointless asking on the TMo forums as TMo employees there will tell you anything and the TMo unlocking people will tell you something entirely different. Don't ask how I know!! :)

    TMo are improving the cell phone industry in the US, but sadly their CS leaves a GREAT deal to be desired.

    I was able to unlock an 521 using Cellunlocket.net service before you think this as spam, the catch was the long time to get the unlocking code... Like two months of waiting, but at the end they kept their word and delivered the code.

    Well, maybe you can get the unlock code faster with the tmo prepaid method.

    Just tried again last Friday for a 521 I have.
    The legacy pay as you go Gold account on the SIM has been around for years.

    When calling T-Immobile they always say "no problem" then when the e-mail shows up the request is disapproved.
