Lumia 625 won't install updates?

Ever since I updated my phone to windows 8.1 it has been stuck with version 8.10.12393.890 which was released on 2nd June 2014. There have been numerous updates released but none have been installed automatically. When I use the 'Check for updates' feature it keeps telling me the phone is up-to-date even though I know it isn't. How can I fix this? I've tried turning off the automatic timezone setting and also tried changing regions but nothing seems to work. I bought the phone in Sri Lanka but moved to the UK. This shouldn't be an issue since I got the 8.1 update in the UK. And please don't bother telling me I'm using a fake phone because I'm not.

If you aren't using the Preview for Developers app and Lumias Denim isn't out for your phone... frankly speaking , your phone is "up to date" as far as MS is concerned

Denim is out for it but that's not what I'm worried about. There are updates released between my current version and lumia denim which haven't been installed. For example the update with Cortana for the UK

As Ebuka above already said. If you not in P4D you do not get the updates.
Or in other words the CORTANA UK you only could get if you used preview for developer.

And once you use PFD you're up to date.
