New here & on a budget

Hello everyone, I'm currently using a Lumia 520 & I've been looking to upgrade for the past few weeks. My budget is around 250. I've been looking at the 920 & the 925. I am leaning to the 920 because it has everything I need for the price. Decent cam, battery, and so so specs. Am I overlooking any phones? Thanks!

For $250 you can easily grab a lumia 1520 or Icon in good condition on ebay or amazon, which are spec wise the top two lumias out right now
They both include very nice improvements over the 920 and 925

Icon (5in) and 1520 (6in) have larger and full hd displays
They both have more mics for better recording and can record in surround sound
They both have 20 megapixel cameras versus 8.7 on the 920 and 925
They both can record in 4k (only with the latest lumia firmware update though, which some phones still don't have)
and they both support a feature called "hey cortana" where you can simply say "hey cortana" to activate cortana verus having to pick up your phone

Although the 920 n 925 are very nice phones, but with $250, you would be missing out on two awesome phones (Icon and 1520) that have very nice improvements, especially considering the 920 and 925 can VERY easily be found in good to mint condition on ebay for $120

but note, the icon is a Verizon exclusive, and it's international version, the 930 costs more (about $320-$400) around the web..But the icon is unlocked though out of the box and can be used on att or tmobile, as long as your ok with sacrificing LTE for hspa (3g), hspa+ (4g), very rarely ever getting any LTE speeds and losing MMS

On the other hand the 1520 is an att exclusive, but doesn't come unlocked out of the box so you would have to find an unlocked one to use it on a network other than AT&T

Thanks! I'll give the 1520 a look over. Not really a fan of phablets but those specs may win me over. I looked into the icon. Not worth the restrictions for me at least. Just saw the 1320 & didn't even know it existed. Need to step my game up

How about the 730? Its really good vfm. And 1320 is a perfect phone if u find 1520 a bit too expensive.

You don't mention what country you are from or what carrier... That may make a difference. Although I prefer Factory Unlocked phones, some users do not - they want Branded phones to get carrier Apps and features.

How about you, Scotty_doesknow? And do you want New-in-Box or is used OK?

I'm an At&t customer in the U.S. Generally I tend to have a preference for new factory unlocked phones as well.

Blu Win HD or Yezz Billy 4.7 might tickle your fancy then. Both are less tha $200 BNIB and can be had on the Microsoft Store. Or even a 635 in Factory Unlocked...

Appreciate the help from everyone. I snagged a good deal on a Lumia 920 of which I am very happy with. Actually it makes me wiggle. Oh bocce balls! I decided to go with that & wait to see what flagships will come out this yr. Thanks for the help again ,
