Update will be installed on memory card?

A 16 GB memory card inserted to my phone and if the W10 released, and I update my phone, the update was stored on memory card or on the phone memory? (I want to install to phone memory )

On your phone. Because what would happen if it was installed on your SD card and you get your SD card out?

There is however an indication that the downloaded file with the update may be stored on your SD card. This still has to be confirmed by Microsoft if and when this is going to happen. But during the install process the update is installed on your internal memory.
