Can I get some help installing device drivers for my Nokia Lumia 630 (RM-976)?

Cannot install device drivers for Nokia Lumia 630 (RM-976)

I recently got a Nokia Lumia 630 running on Windows Phone 8.1.

Every time I connect the phone to my Dell Latitude D620 running on Windows XP SP3 I constantly get a 'Found New Hardware' popup box. I click the part where it tells me to use the internet to find the necessary software it says it can't find any. I never got a disk or anything with the phone so I don't know what to do. I've tried uninstalling and re plugging in the phone but the box keeps coming up.
Is it because I have windows XP or is it something else?

XP does have a problem with the Microsoft utility for Microsoft phones.

I'll see if I can dig up the link for the solution.

Erm... Isn't the Windows Phone App for Desktop only Windows 7 and up???

Hi,

I got the same problem with this model. Try installing windows 7 and check or throw it out of the window as I did , not sure if it was built to support this OS.. Windows Phone app for Windows desktop works on win 7 upwards.

Driver is not available "Nokia Lumia 630 RM-976 driver"
