Why can't I sync contacts on a second Lumia phone?

Cannot sync contacts on a second Lumia phone

I have two Lumia phones. A 625 (purchased 6 months ago) and a 635 bought a week ago.

I connected the 635 to the same live.com account than the first one.

Under "settings->"email+accounts"->"Microsoft account" the only content to sync is email. The contacts option does not appear.

I want to sync my contacts on both devices and want to be able to modify one contact or delete etc and that this change immediately reflects on the other device but this seems impossible

Could somebody clarify this?

Indeed you only see E-mail but this is because contacts and calendar etc are automatically synced.
So it's actual the other way around you can not "not sync" contact,
Only for E-mail you can decide if you want to sync or not but contacts etc always will be synced.
So if you check contacts on your new phone you will see that they are already on your phone.
